Requirements:

Acute understanding of food presentation and employing the company's aesthetic
Must possess a food handlers certificate
Experience working within a catering/event specific budget (or high volume restaurant budget)
Educated, worldly outlook about ingredients and different cooking techniques/styles
Culinary Degree from an established and reputable culinary institution is a plus
Efficient with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Outlook, and some Excel)

Volunteer Opportunity
The Urban Zen Foundation, in conjunction with the Palette Fund, Amanda Archibald, RD and Stefanie Bryn Sacks, MS (a graduate of The Natural Gourmet) is offering a series of ground-breaking, inspirational workshops focused on educating the Urban Zen community and beyond on navigating and restoring health through food.
The series consists of one-day workshops presented over the course of 2010. Each workshop will focus on a specific hot health topic that advocates dietary change as part of the healing plan. Panel discussions led by experts in the field, practical hands-on learning—in the kitchen—and food education activities are a vital part of this life-changing workshop experience.
